numbers racket far exceeded any other form of gambling in the Buffalo area and VITO (BUCK JONES) DOMIANO was in complete control of this form of gambling in Buffalo and Lackawanna, New York. It has also been reported that DOMIANO's power in the numbers racket emanates from "BIG STEVE MAGADDINO" of Niagara Falls, New York.
VITO DOMIANO died of natural death during the first part of April, 1958. His burial was handled by the Joseph Spano and Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 473 Niagara Street, Buffalo, New York.

It has previously been reported that JAMES VONA, who owns and operates Cutt's Tavern in Tonawanda, New York, might possibly have some connection with the subject.
On April 10, 1958, [REDACTED], the State Liquor Authority, Buffalo, New York, furnished the following information:
JAMES V. VONA owns and operates Cutt's Tavern, 7 Delaware Avenue, Tonawanda, New York. He was born on November 14, 1915, in the United States, and resides at 110 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda, New York. VONA originally applied for a liquor license on December 14, 1956. At the time he made application for a liquor license, he failed to set forth a loan from [REDACTED] and a loan from EDWARD MILLER, 55 Walter Avenue, Tonawanda, New York.
An investigation conducted by the State Liquor Authority disclosed that [REDACTED] of good reputation from Tonawanda, New York, and EDWARD MILLER is the father-in-law of JAMES VONA. The file of JAMES VONA at the State Liquor Authority stated there was some question as to whether VONA should be issued a liquor license inasmuch as he had an arrest on a "gambling charge" in North Tonawanda, New York, on April 1, 1944, and there also appeared to be a relationship between JAMES VONA [REDACTED].
