[REDACTED] reported that before the numbers-racket headquarters moved from Bonnie Lou Candy Corporation to Keith Theater, FRED RANDACCIO and VINCENT SCRO, son-in-law of STEVE MAGADDINO, were seen at Bonnie Lou Candy Corporation after business hours. According to this account, SCRO, described as an accountant, handled the numbers-racket books in Buffalo.
The report identifies SCRO as married to [REDACTED]; [REDACTED] and VINCENT SCRO [REDACTED] reside in a home next to STEVE MAGADDINO on Dana Drive, Town of Lewiston, New York. Previous Albany Office investigation reportedly found his father, SAM SCRO, lived in Syracuse, New York; SAM was born in Palermo, Sicily, in 1893, lived in Auburn, New York until 1936, then Syracuse; in 1939 moved to Endicott, New York, where he was associated with the Mission Beverage Company until 1943. The report says Mission Beverage was owned by JOSEPH BARBARA, host of the Apalachin meeting, and operated there under the Canada Dry Bottling Company name.
An additional Albany Office source [REDACTED] concerning Syracuse is heavily withheld; the visible text mentions PASQUALE MONACHINO at the Apalachin meeting on November 14, 1957.
Regarding Keith Theater as purported present numbers-operation headquarters, the report cites records of Dun and Bradstreet listing the Keith Theater as owned by JAY-PHIL Company, Inc., with MICHAEL PERNA as President and Treasurer; additional lines withheld.
