On March 18, 1958, T-13, who has furnished reliable information in the past, advised that Utica, New York, telephone number 2-3181 is listed to the West End Brewing Company, 811 Edwards Street, Utica, New York. Albany Office advised that the indices of that office contain no material information relative to this firm. The Albany Office further advised that in respect to the [REDACTED] it was not possible [REDACTED] to identify [REDACTED]. The Albany Office further advised that the Albany, New York City Directory contains no one by the name of [REDACTED].
On March 3, 1958, SA WILLIAM J. MYERS advised an examination of the Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania Telephone Directory disclosed that telephone number [REDACTED] was listed to [REDACTED], Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Agent MYERS further advised there is also a listing of this same person at [REDACTED]. The Punxsutawney Telephone Directory lists the Topside Stock Farm with the following: registered quarter and palomino horses, western boarded and trained, [REDACTED]. The indices of the Pittsburgh Office were searched for the names [REDACTED] and Topside Stock Farm with negative results.
D. CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES
It has previously been reported that [REDACTED] runs the numbers racket in the colored section of Buffalo, New York, for MAGADDINO and that [REDACTED] allegedly operates out of [REDACTED] in Buffalo, New York.
On March 31, 1958, T-14, who has furnished reliable information in the past, advised SA [REDACTED] who is a tall, slender negro, is employed [REDACTED] Buffalo, New York. Informant advised that [REDACTED] writes numbers but is definitely not in control of any numbers racket in the colored section and would not be considered in the higher echelon of any group controlling the numbers racket in Buffalo, New York. He said that [REDACTED] was associated with BUCK JONES, but only to the best of the informant's knowledge as a numbers writer. This informant was unable to furnish any information regarding any connections which the subject might have with hoodlums in the Buffalo, New York area.
