But during the last five or six months it has been his understanding that WALTERS is not making too many trips to the United States.
[REDACTED] pointed out that he is not acquainted with the subject but is aware of the subject's reputation in Niagara Falls, New York, and he has never known WALTERS to have any association with the subject. He said that he would make inquiry to determine whether WALTERS has any contact with the subject in an attempt to determine the extent of the criminal activities of WALTERS in Canada.
It has previously been reported on February 28, 1957, the subject was in attendance at a lavish party at the Red Devil Restaurant in Miami Beach, Florida, and well known mobsters from various parts of the country were in attendance at this party.
The Red Devil Restaurant was located at 163 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida, according to a Dun and Bradstreet report dated December 5, 1957, and is owned by [REDACTED] FRANK FAGA. The report reflects that FRANK FAGA, 59 years of age, came to Miami in 1943 from Brooklyn, New York, where he worked as a chef for 10 years.
It was previously reported the party was supposedly held by SALVATORE FALCONE. The Miami Division advised that SALVATORE FALCONE is presently under investigation as a Top Hoodlum in the Miami Division and is a brother of JOSEPH FALCONE who is under investigation by the Albany Division. Both JOSEPH and SALVATORE FALCONE attended the meeting at Apalachin, New York, on November 14, 1957.
The Miami Office advised that the information concerning the alleged party at the Red Devil Restaurant on February 28, 1957, was received by the Miami Office from DANIEL P. SULLIVAN, Manager and Director, Miami Crime Commission, but no identification of any of those in attendance was available. The party was alleged to have been a birthday party for FALCONE although it is noted that if there is any basis to this allegation it was either a birthday party for JOSEPHINE FALCONE, the wife of SALVATORE FALCONE, who was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 26, [YEAR UNCLEAR], or a wedding anniversary party for the FALCONES who were married in Trinidad, Colorado, on February 26, 1911.
