BU 92-61 — COVER PAGE -E-. The FBI reported that the above spot checks revealed nothing unusual at 1338 Niagara St., Niagara Falls, NY, the location of Magaddino Memorial Chapel. 'Extensive investigation conducted in this case to date has failed to disclose any big-time syndicated criminal activities on the part of the subject.' The office noted that informants considered the subject to be 'the head' of, or in control of, numbers-racket and gambling activities in the Buffalo area, but that he remained in the background. No information had been developed showing influence beyond the Buffalo area, and no information established federal violations within FBI jurisdiction. The office therefore reported: 'the subject is being down-graded from a National Top Hoodlum to a Local Top Hoodlum UACB.' SUBJECT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS DUE TO THE FACT HE HAS PERMIT TO CARRY GUN.
