BU 92-61 — report page -10-. [Continuation of ORA McLAUGHLIN interview.] McLAUGHLIN recalled the visitor saying the money might help during his election campaign; he stated he threw the money back, saying he did not need help. McLAUGHLIN said he subsequently had little contact with that person and did not recall arresting the person in Livingston County. [PERSON'S NAME REDACTED.] McLAUGHLIN said he had heard that [REDACTED] were involved in bootlegging before repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment, but he had no personal knowledge of the activities. He understood that DON McCOOL, then sheriff of Livingston County, and [REDACTED] were longstanding close friends. [ANOTHER LARGE PASSAGE REDACTED.] On August 22, 1958, attorney CHARLES J. BURALINO, Sr., interviewed at 22 North Main Street, Pittston, Pennsylvania, stated that he was related to the MONTANA family of Buffalo, New York, though he did not know the exact relationship. While a student, he worked summers for them and remained close to the family. BURALINO named JOHN [PART OF NAME REDACTED] and JOSEPH MONTANA as brothers, and said JOHN MONTANA entered the taxi-cab business about thirty years earlier with approximately eight cabs, later developing what BURALINO called the largest taxi-cab business in the Buffalo area. Through his Montana family relationships, BURALINO said he became acquainted with the MAGADDINOs and knew ANTONIO, STEVE, and PETER. [REMAINDER OF PAGE REDACTED.]
