BU 92-61 — continuation — report page -7-. On July 21, 1958, T-9, who had furnished reliable information in the past, advised that he had frequently seen the subject over the preceding month but had not spoken with him. T-9 believed the subject was trying to be seen more frequently in business establishments around Niagara Falls, New York. As far as the source could ascertain, the subject was not actively participating in legitimate or illegitimate business; he spent considerable time around the MAGADDINO Memorial Chapel. The informant could give no specific information about the subject's activities. LEGITIMATE ENTERPRISES On August 4, 1958, information was obtained from records of the Clerk of the United States District Court in Buffalo, New York. Docket #42997: On July 22, 1958, a petition for voluntary bankruptcy was filed by the Power City Distributing Company, 200 9th Street, Niagara Falls, New York. CHARLES A. MONTANA, Secretary of the corporation, filed the petition. The company had been in business since 1933 and maintained accounts with the Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company, Falls Street Branch, Niagara Falls, and the same bank's Main Office in Buffalo. DALE J. MANCHESTER was identified as the corporation's attorney. Under 'Losses,' the petition reported at least four thefts caused by break-ins at its offices and warehouses. The corporation reported those losses, approximately $4,500, to the Niagara Falls Police Department. The dates of the thefts were uncertain. Reported stolen property included office equipment, office supplies, stock, books and records. [Continuation on next scan. These are reported bankruptcy-petition statements, not independently verified losses.]
