T-1 was recontacted on June 16, 1958, but he was unable to furnish any additional information regarding activities on the part of the subject.
On June 5, 1958, T-2, who has furnished reliable information in the past, advised that he has seen no unusual activity in the vicinity of the subject's home on Danna Drive in the Town of Lewiston, New York. This informant stated there have been no unusual visitors to the subject's home and he was unable to furnish any information relative to any close associates of the subject.
Informant was recontacted on June 24, 1958, at which time he advised that very recently the subject and [REDACTED] JAMES LA DUCA [REDACTED], both of whom are top hoodlums of the Buffalo Office, have become friendly with MICHAEL J. AUER, who resides across the street from the subject on Danna Drive in the Town of Lewiston.
Informant pointed out that prior to May of 1958, the subject's contact with AUER consisted of a casual greeting. He pointed out that the subject is the type of individual who does not become friendly with anybody. This informant stated that Mr. and Mrs. AUER have always made remarks to the effect that they would like to have a swimming pool in their backyard.
He said that during the first part of June, 1958, the AUERS built a large wooden fence on their property behind their home and the construction of an $8,000 swimming pool is now underway in the backyard of the AUER home. This informant stated he noticed that just prior to the time that the construction on this swimming pool was begun, the subject visited the home of MICHAEL AUER and several nights later, MICHAEL AUER visited the home of the subject. Informant felt that this was rather strange due to the fact that the subject has made it a practice of not associating with his neighbors and he has never known the subject to visit anyone of the neighbors in that area. He also stated that he has never known any of the neighbors to visit the subject in his home.
