He also stated that it appeared to be general knowledge among certain Italians that if any Italian in Niagara Falls is approached for any type of “shakedown” and he is connected with the right circles, all this individual has to do is to contact the subject, and after this contact with the subject the individual who has been approached for the “shakedown” is never contacted again by the person or persons attempting to shake him down.
This informant pointed out that all the information he has relative to the subject is hearsay and rumor, but it is his firm opinion that any inquiry relative to the subject and his relatives in Niagara Falls by representatives of any law enforcement body would be treated with a definite “I know nothing” attitude.
