On February 3, 1958, a physical surveillance of the subject was conducted by SAs [REDACTED] and KENNETH P. [surname partly obscured]. At 7:30 PM, subject was observed stopping at the Waterfall Motel, Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, New York and he did not leave the Waterfall Motel until 9:40 PM that same night. He was observed leaving the office of the motel and from 7:30 PM until 9:40 PM, a continuous surveillance was maintained at the Waterfall Motel and the subject was not observed during that time therefore it is assumed that he was in the office of the motel during this period. No one was observed entering or leaving the office of the motel during this period.
On February 6, 1958, a physical surveillance of the subject was maintained by SAs [REDACTED]. Subject was again observed driving to the Waterfall Motel at approximately 7:30 PM and did not leave this motel until approximately 9:30 PM that same date. During this period the subject was observed in the office of the Waterfall Motel talking to an elderly individual who is believed to be the caretaker of the motel. During this period no one was seen entering or leaving the office of this motel.
On February 6, 1958, [REDACTED], Niagara Falls, New York, [associated with] the Waterfall Motel, furnished the following information:
At the present time ANTHONY FINELLI and his wife are caretakers at the Waterfall Motel and have been caretakers at this motel for the past seven or eight months. He stated FINELLI is approximately 67 years of age, was born in Italy but has been in Niagara Falls, New York for a number of years. He was formerly employed at the Niagara Sandpaper Company in Niagara Falls for a number of years but this plant closed its operations in Niagara Falls approximately seven or eight years ago and since that time ANTHONY FINELLI has had various odd jobs and for approximately a year or two operated a restaurant in Niagara Falls, New York. He stated there was no question in his mind regarding the integrity of ANTHONY FINELLI and he could vouch for his honesty and good reputation in Niagara Falls, New York. He said that ANTHONY FINELLI has several children who are married and also reside in Niagara Falls, New York and FINELLI formerly resided at 1455 Ferry Avenue in Niagara Falls.
